ABEL CONSTRUCTION

5. Sunnyside Penninsula Bridge

This project involved the demolition and removal of an existing bridge, and the construction of a new three-span pre-stressed concrete box beam bridge and approaches.  After the old bridge structure was removed, the existing piers were “capped” and reused to support the new bridge beams.  Upon finishing the bridge structure, public utility lines were installed to provide service to the properties located on the peninsula.  The bridge approaches and guiderail completed the project.
